| Could be. No problem, thanks for the compliment. I didn't add any weight to the wheels, they are just right IMO. The memory foams out front are heavier then standard foams, but I didn't add any extra weight. If you are going to aluminum wheels from standard plastic, I'd thicken up your shock oil set-up a little. |

After a couple good test sessions, I decided to change a few things. One was the belly clearance, it was too low for me. So, I mounted the shocks more vertically and softened them up. Now my clearance is just a shade over 2 1/2", which I think will be good. I also moved the body forward a little and lowered it. This is probably exactly where the new body will sit when done, unless I find a way to lower it more. Just to give my wheels a little different look, I went with black flathead screws. |

Looks great! Did you have to go with a longer screw on the wheels or still 3x10? Also could you offer a starting point oil weight wise? I just got my new MSD wheels today and my setup would be king of similar. Ax10 chassis/axles, similar shocks....actually traxxas big bores but with losi springs, lipo and servo over the axle and aluminum wheels. Thanks, Mike |

Rumor has it Axial is making all their aluminum goodies available in different colors. I'll paint the new Grappler up with a light coat of bright red, then back it in black to match the blood red anodize. I'll post some more pics when I get all the red chassis standoffs in too. |

Personally I am not a huge fan of the green. Or course it could just be my colorblindness messing with me.

I would recommend cany apple red, backed with gold metal flake, silver, then black. That will give you the color you are looking for plus a little bling factor thrown in! Build is looking great so far, can't wait to see it in person! Thanks, Axial | |
