That last pic at the comp looked a little scary...... Looks like a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong drop.
It was a long drop, but very driveable.

I run a 45t motor with stock gearing and a 3s lipo. Good wheelspeed, and decent torque.

I haven't driven it yet. But, I did use blue loc-tite on the outer bearings. We will see if it holds them in place. I have a prototype BTA tierod, and the stops aren't in the way at all.

Brad,
I know you said 1/4" carbide end mill, but the pic you posted looks a bit like a twist drill bit. Is there an extra step to it or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me? I just want to make sure and do it the way you did it, when I get mine. Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind, it was just my eyes. Just noticed all the tiny chips.

Most places you go do you not change your gearing or motor? Just curious and also what are the specs of the battery you use? Just getting an idea of what type it takes to complete a comp.

I don't change my gearing or motor for the most part. Try to find a set-up that has decent wheel speed and torque. I run 1100mah 3s lipos from MaxAmps. They are compact and have good punch.

I run 15-20wt out front with really soft springs. Out back I run 35wt oil the the right rear with the same springs as the front. Then I run 50wt oil in the left rear with a little stiffer spring rate.

Weird. I haven't had any binding at all in my set-up. Makes me wonder if there is an issue with that particular set of C's. You can try calling customer service and see if they have heard of any issues, 949-600-8642.

I did reduce my weight recently. My front wheels weigh in at 13 ounces each now, my rears weigh about 10 ounces each.

Just ordered a SWX from the local hobby shop. Can't wait to get tuning on it. I'm trying to get my Big Bores setup right now. Just trying to find a good 4 link BTA kit now to get some better steeriing.

Default Lower Links- Delrin

I went through the entire 51 pages of this thread and noticed that you are still running the Delrin lower links, where can you get these links? Or did you make them? Great build, I am new to the sport but this was an inspirational review of your build, now I have something to shot for.

Thanks

-DMS

Hey Brad i saw that you said your front track width is 10.5, Is it still the same with the Super 300's? Right now I'm barely 10 and I want to get to at least 10.25 but I'm not sure how to with the Super 300's.

Thanks, Allen

Thanks for the compliments Turboman. I did make the Delrin links myself. You might be able to find a vendor here that would make Delrin lowers for you though.

I run Axial red springs up front and on the right rear with 20-30wt oil. In the left rear I run a little stiffer spring and oil to help fight torque twist.

It is still the same width. I am running some old TLT CVD hexes with barrel nuts out front, they give me the extra 1/2" of width.
