Default Pinion and ESC for Crawlmaster?

I am gathering up my running gear for my scorpion build and I have a couple questions.

I am planning on running the Crawlmaster sport. I have read lots of good things and I like what I have seen so far.
I am wanting to use the 8 cell Elite 1500 sadle pack. What is a good pinion to run for a starting point?

Next, I was looking to use the CC Sidewinder ESC becasue I have a CC in one of my Heli's and like the programability. Is there an ESC better suited to crawling use with this motor? Is the CC ok?

Thanks,
Lou

Well, I may be new to crawlers but I have been in Rc for a long time. I posted this here becuase I am putting this equipment in an AX10. I know from my heli flying experience that some components run better in one model than they do another.

I am assuming that not all 2.2 crawlers have the same tranny that the scorpion does so that is why I am asking what is a good starting point for a pinion in this model. This is the same reason I am asking about ESC's here as well. I have a CC esc that really sucked in one heli and is absolutly killer in a different airframe.

That is why I posted here. So does anyone have any info for me?

i have never run the Crawlmaster sport but i do run a sidewinder and its phenominal by far the best esc i've found for a 2.2 size rig.. the programer is a must because u can remap the throttle curves on the spot if u have a laptop with you..

That is good info to hear about the SideWinder. I think that is the ESC I will use. I do already have the Castle link so that should help for sure. Thanks.

As far as pinion goes, I guess I will try the stock 14t and go from there. Who knows...

sounds like a good start

the sidewinder and crawlmaster sport is a nice set up
with the 14 tooth pinion might be a bit much but maybe not!
