| AX- 10 rock racer (tuber)
Well here it is, now there will be a lot of R&D to get this car dialed in. I took it for a spin, it seems fast enough, but I think it could be a bit faster. I am geared to 5:1 right now. I might just go down to 4.50:1 or something between the two. The suspension is nice for crawling, but seemed a little stiff for the higher speed dirt runs I made. That is going to be the hard part, getting the right balance between going fast and for crawling. It should be a fun experience to figure this thing out and get it dialed. | Thanks, I just run the Pede shafts, they work. I also geared it up a bit more, I needed more speed. After running it some today I also changed out the tires to M3 Mashers and also had to pull out the pink memory foams. Those foams are too stiff at high speeds. I am going to try the Proline memory foams out I got with my new Hammer tires. This is more of a rock racer than crawler, but when I am done it will crawl and go fast. |

I like it Dude, I need to put a faster motor in my axial tuber so we can play. I'll need to soften up the suspension a little though. I'm thinking 35t on 3or4cell lipo should do the trick |

I put a higher gear in this car and it hurt the torque needed for crawling, so I am going back to my original gear and changing out the motor. I am going to put in one of my old 27t racing motors, they are pretty fast and have some nice torque for what they are. I only have a 2c Lipo for this car. A 35t and a 3c will go pretty good for ya, get r done and lets run them at the comp coming up. I have to soften up the front suspension too, I am dumping out the 30wt and putting in some 10wt and run the same springs. | |

I'm going to be able to make the comp now for sure, it looks like at this point. I'll just need a motor for mine, all I have is one of Randy's High Velocity 10t motors that was in my XXXT....not going to work |

I haven't taken any pics of it yet Peter, I just put it together this weekend. Setup to use all the axial stock gear, except I put an R2 in it, but I may throw one of my axial trannies in it to lighten up the chassis a bit.
