My First AX-10/x-trail I own a full scale Jeep Rubicon and have been into R.C. for years so I decided to build a Jeep crawler. Let me know what you think so far, I still have a lot I want to do to it. Basic parts list: -Axial Scorpion -X-trail frame -Novak goat system -Traxxas radio and Hitec servos -HPI Jeep body(not the one pictured, just using it for mock up) Parts to be added: -rc4wd aluminum bead locks -soft mud slingers -VF front dig -front and rear bumpers http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM1998.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM1996.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM1995.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM1999.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM2034.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM2035.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM2044.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/HPIM2045.jpg |
Pics dont work. |
Very nice! I'm looking at building an AX-10 and the scale chassis is looking interesting. I'd like to hear how it crawls, too. |

I know it's an old thread, but I like the way you positioned the electronics tray. How is the end closest to the transmission secured? |
I had fabbed up some brackets in that picture however I have since changed that mount. It is still in the same location but I am now using 1/4" square aluminum rod drilled and tapped on both ends and then drilled and tapped for the electonics tray. It is now a lot stronger and doubles as a chassis cross member. Thanks for checking it out and I hope the info. comes in handy for you. |
