| will this be legal? (2.2 class)
Hi, All Last night I started to build a tube chassis (first time) and wanted to know can I just install what I made so far to the stock chassis and be legal? I know it will need the hood, roof & side panels (if it will pass) as you can see in the 2nd picture I'm thinking of installing tabs to bolt it on. I hate to spend $30 on a body plus time painting for it to get all beat up and have to replace it a month later much easier to just replace panels First time i ever brazed any thing was not all that tuff but as you can tell I need more practice |

Where's the chassis part of it? All you did was make a tube body thing. If it was a chassis, all the suspension parts would be bolted to it, transmission would be in it, etc... Tube chassis means full tube chassis. You'll need a body to cover that stock AX-10 chassis.

You sure about that toyofast? I thought that someone else built something like this and it was legal as long as it had the hood, sides, and roof? I could be wrong though.

hy Your chassis is just as much of a chassis as an Edge. It is legal. |

To my knowledge it would be legal as long as it meets the "body less" size requirements. Look at the current USRCCA Rules for details as far as hood, cockpit heigth, ect. It looks legal to me. |

My point was, why call it a chassis if it's just a "body" on top of the actual chassis? If you can build that much, build the whole thing.

Your work deserves only positive replies. Your newbie style welding meens nothing if it works, or even wins. Great job, Keep it up.
