| Axial axles in stock car
For a nitro stock car project i'm searching a solid rear axle. The Axial axles are now cheap available through ebay etc. Do they come with bearings ? Would they be strong enough for my application ? Last edited by Skirmitt; 04-30-2008 at 07:32 AM. |

A .15 Force engine so there won't be too much power on it I guess.

Should work. They're standing up most of the time to 10t cobalt puller motors. You might toast it eventually, but replacement parts are cheap. What are you doing with it?

The ring gear is cast iron (correct me if I'm wrong), so I would replace diff with the one from an HPI rs4 3 evo. Don't forget the spider gears too for the diff action.

The HPI Nitro 3 EVO uses a different gear ratio, which would be good for on road use, but might require modification to the gear housing. You would also need a stronger motor to deal with the different ratio, for a Force .15 I would recommend sticking with the stock ratio. Thanks, Axial | |

You should use some aluminum lockouts and straight axles, the stock knuckles will flex alot.
