hmm, i was thinking the same thing, and came up with taking the stick pack apart and putting it on the upper links, or taking it apart and 4 cells side by side and two on top and making a plate where the windows are

Default My EDGE so far.....

Motor 55t brushed
Controller Mamba MAx (waiting for it to return from CC)
Batteries: going to try the Makita 2 cell Lipo 1600 ( I bought a battery
pack and opened up and made some packs)
Battery & Servo holder: fabricated own
Tires: Losi
Inserts: Memory foam
Links: Bent

Rock formation located in Menifee,CA. (Between March Air Force & Temecula,CA.)
Here are some pics of my EDGE, I'm just waiting for my MAMBA controller to return back from CC;
Several of the pic shows how I have done a mod on the "DIGG" unit. I made a upgraded strait linkage & mounting bracket for the servo. Panels are aluminum , will paint or go with some sort of stickers. Panels were counter sunk from behind so as to set on existing screws, and only use two screws on each side to mount...Almost done.......You guys having good luck mounting the shocks inside the frame?..Thanks

Mine's far from done, but I might as well throw a few pics in here from the first run of it. Still got shocks to change out, wheels, several things.

2nd rig (Edge chassis)

It's now sportin some Panthers, and a 645 dig servo instead of the mini. Long way to go on it though, and it's gonna be torn completely back down after this weekend I think to do some wire organizing. I don't think we ever actually finish one of these things.

I can't wait to get my RTR AX-10 looking at all these rigs you guys have they are very cool.. Hopefully I will end up with mine being upgraded like this as time goes on.. I definately want the roll cage/chassis for the inevitable roll overs to protect the guts.

Is this Edge unit a direct drop in for my RTR truck?? Unbolt everything off my stock chassis and bolt it on? Or is there more to it than that?? I've read some on the forums already but without actually having the thing infront of me yet to look at I'm still kinda clueless.

Everything will pretty much bolt right up from yours. You will most likely have to do something different than the 6cell stick pack for a battery though, so I would look at that as one of the first upgrades, along with aluminum links maybe. Tons of things out there, and once you drive it and get hooked the upgrades will soon follow.

you can get them at TCS.. But do a little research on it on here, as many people change a lot of their shock setup to run this chassis. I'm an oddball in that group as I'm still running sprung shocks and not droop.

Well I wanted to get some pics of mine out in the rocks before I got it too dirty, but my camera operator didn't get out there in time to take them before the 7t Cobalt had already gotten the best of me.

This is about as good as it's gotten after the purdy wire loom I put on it. Now it's sitting with 2 bent lowers, 1 bent upper, chewed up pinion, one broken lower link end, and I need new rims..............Was a rough weekend for the poor thing.
