Nice work, I like the minimalist design.

Needs a set of Rock Claws though. :-P

Thanks BENDER
I'd be sitting on the ground with 5" tires sitting at 2.5" of clearance with the Reds. Should be really stable at speed and wrestling rocks

Oh, wheelbase is set at a hair over 13" right now, top of cab is 6.5".

Where is the battery pack mounted? I can't see a spot to mount a 4200.

I'm building the pack this morning, and I haven't totally decided exactly what I want to do(6 or 7 cells). But around/behind the servo is where it'll be. I had a 3cell lipo in it last night for it's virgin run, and it didn't like the amp draw(got a little warm), and I've got these new race cells sitting here on the shelf that I figured I may as well put to good use. If I don't like how it works with the SubC's, I'll look into a bigger Lipo.

Thanks, it should be pretty fun, not looking to do any serious jumping, just bash on the rocks with it.

If you watch any of the fullsize 1:1 stuff, the rockracers bomb through sections of a course, even catching air if they are brave enough, and then have some technical crawling on parts of the course, and it's a race between 2 rigs at the same time, whereas crawling is just 1 truck at a time, and not any high speed stuff involved.

I've got a 9t pinion in it right now. The R2 should be just fine, as long as I don't get crazy jumping it, as there is no slipper.

You may want to reconsider.....ran it after the comp on my 4cell MaxAmps lipo, and let's just put it this way.......crawls as slow as my comp rig, but is just insane when you put the hammer down We'll see how it stacks up to yours at Lucia Falls in a couple of weeks:-P

The motor and gearing is setup to be a lot faster, the suspension is setup differently to handle the high speed bump and run stuff, and the weight is setup differently as well.

I didn't have a chance today, as I left for a comp at 2:30am and got home after 9:00pm, but I will try to get some footage soon, but I will probably need somebody to film for me, as this thing flat out moves, it would be hard to keep it on the screen with a stationary camera. We'll see what I can do
