my first attempt at making an axle battery mount

well i was wanting to get some 2/3a cells so i tried to make myself a battery mount for the axle. I made it out of abs plastic for now to see if it would actually work. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0/P1020897.jpg

does anyone know the measuremts of the tcs plates or any others, just to see if mine are even close to the same setup?

anyone see any problems with this setup? i can make it out of aluminum if i need to. I cut it away to clear the steering rods.

also made me some bent links http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0/P1020893.jpg

Those plates will work fine, just something flat to mount them on"thumbsup"

so should i even worry about making them out of aluminum or just use the plastic. the only thing i could think of w/ the alum. velcro may stick better to it than the slick plastic.

On mine I took velcro straps and place them under the pates and ran the screws through it to hold it in place. this set up works great and secures the battery packs well"thumbsup"
