Team Zig~Zag Slingshot After much deliberation, I finally made the switch over to axial. I decided to go with the Visionary Fabrication Slingshot for this build. So far I like everything about the chassis. I used Revo rod ends for the links. This gave me a 12" WB. So what I did was swap out the rear chassis side rod ends to Jato rod ends, that set me just over 12 3/8". Specs. That looks good DTP, what's your center clearance at? |
One more thing, quite a few poeple have complained about thier digs from VF. When I first assembled it, it wasn't quite as smooth as I had hoped. Talked to Don & he gave me some things to check. I found I had tightened the case too tight. I dissasembled it & since it was open I sanded down the brass pin on the drive cog. Now it's as smooth as butter, as they say. |

Just got home from crawling. Seems to perform very well. It's definately not the same as Fat Cat. I do like the center clearance, it seemed alittle more tipsy than AFC. But I think that's because that was what I was used to. More drive time & I'll have it dialed in. The suspension was very smooth. I need to try the Badlands as they sidehill better. |
man looks awesome , i realy like the stance / paint alot |
Awesome Job DTP "thumbsup", where did you get tthe links? They look like delrin? 3" of clearance and it still looks Paved!!! sweet. |
you can get the vf chassis with the links. either straight lowers or bent lowers and the bent uppers... nice build. i have yet to take mine out and test it yet. it's been built for the last few weeks and time is short so it still just sits on display. bummin'... |
Excellent build thread, excellent build "thumbsup" |
DTP, Very nice build and best of luck this year. ;-) "thumbsup" |

How are the 2/3A battery packs holding up to the 5T Cobalt? Whats your gearing? Do you like it? Are you considering lipo's? Pros - Cons? Reason I ask is seems like most people "reccomend" lipo's with the colbalt puller motors... |
