Going Orange

Hi Guys,

My name is Steve Wang, owner of ST Racing Concepts (STRC) and we are a new vendor on this forum. Some of you might already be familiar with our products (bent lower links, Axial and WK option parts). We would like to introduce our new line of orange color option parts (following the orange color kit release from Axial) which are all available now.

Thanks for looking, and feel free to post comments and suggestions. :D

Sincerely,

Steve Wang

Yes, that is me :) However, the shop now belongs to a new owner (was sold last year) and this allow me to concentrate on something I've been wanting to do for a long time...our own product line "thumbsup"

Correct Sir, but the 2 sets are totally different.

What i was trying to get at; is there a complete Overhaul kit and approx. how much would that run?

Chris

JUSTGOINGSLOW 05-26-2008 09:11 PM

Hopefully Steve will offer a complete Kit. That would be sweet, we'll see.

teamstrc 05-27-2008 02:44 AM

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your compliments and suggestions.

in regards to a complete orange kit. The picture just shows all the new option parts we have available now in orange, but honestly I didn't think there would be anyone interested in a complete kit of everything (which is why it's not listed on our website). My concern would be that it would simply cost too much to put together a complete kit as pictured, however, I will do an exact calculation of how much it would be as a complete kit (with discounts of course) and let you guys know.

I will post it here tomorrow (it's 1:45am right now, not a good time to do math and calculations )

Hi Guys,

sorry for the delay, yes, the price is as follows:

$170.92 just as how it is pictured.

$198.92 to include all the other links and cross members in orange to do a complete conversion. This is probably the way most of you would want it as it will take care of the aluminum upper links, steering linkages, chassis cross members and some hardware all switched to orange as well.

These prices are of course all the item's MSRP prices of all the items added together. I think we can drop them down to as follows:

$145.99 for the pictured set

$169.99 for the complete overhaul kit including all the linkages.

(lets call these the RCCrawler member special prices). I will be limited on how many of these complete sets I can put together. So if you guys are interested, let me know by replying, and if there's enough interest, we'll add this limited package to our website. "thumbsup"

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the feedback. These parts are already available in black, that was one of our original 3 colors that we introduced (polished, black, and green) :) with the exception of the bent lower links (not available in black, but can be done if you guys are interested)

Steve,
I have your hub carriers and steering knuckles.
They are top notch.

I have heard a rumor you may also be releasing some aluminum shock bodies.

Can you confirm this?

slowdown 05-28-2008 07:59 PM

I love your parts and have many of them keep them coming.
Your web site is also very good , one of the most informative ive seen

X2! I have to say when I first got the rear lockouts I was a little nervous with how light they felt. But they are top notch, great fit!

Thank you for adding more great products to the hobby! Keep it up "thumbsup"

scatterbrains 05-30-2008 01:11 PM

Hmmm might have to drop you an email about some of those parts, for the shop. Definately the lower links and lockouts. With the lockouts do they work with the factory axles and do they use both bearings? Thanks"thumbsup"

Difuser 05-30-2008 05:05 PM

Scatter- they are a drop on fit for the stock Axial axle. It takes about 5 mins to put them on.

If you have a hobby shop that is suupplying the crawlers get them on the shelf. We cannot keep the parts in stock at our shop. We buy our STRC product from HRP.

BigSki 05-30-2008 08:07 PM

I've installed your lock out and axle kit, and I think it's a great upgrade. It would good if you included shims with the axle kit, as I ended up needing about .035 to take the slop out of the rear axles. I made some shims and installed thembetween the axle and the bearing, so when the lockout was installed, it kept everything nice and snug.

x2 I wouldn't buy the aluminum skid plate for that reason, but if it was delrin I would go for it right away!

Difuser 06-06-2008 11:52 PM

Hey Steve got the pkg UPS last night and added it to my GC-2 build. I made my own STRC sticker can you guess from what. I figured it was appropriate.....

If I'm not mistaking...you chopped up the old speed tech r/c stickers? I didn't even think about that, but yes, I need to get working on the decals for STRC...

Yep just got home from the comp and the new chassis was great. Everyone loved the niew orange bling and I had quite a few comments of where, who and when can I get them....

Got to spend alot of time with the CR after the comp also and have more ideas for it. For the mods made already though it drove the rocks very well. Other than no dig I was able to hang with some very capable trucks in the follow the leader after the comp.

nuts5000 06-07-2008 09:01 PM

i think if you are making knuckles you should have made them hi clearence ones..
you get more steering out of the RCP ones...

but keep stuff comming>>>>>>>>>
