Cool truck.

I am glad to see the variety in all the GC2 builds so far. Every one has the same chassis but the trucks are whole different setups.

Thanks Tanis,thanks Hildy. After more drive time today I'm just amazed at how stable and predictable the thing is.Did find a couple of things I'm going to modify

though,but that's part of a new build. Thanks Gatekeeper for great chassis to build from!

so light weight and adjustable. I'm running alot less weight and can go more places .I can't wait to see your setup in person Tanis ,and maybe give yours a test drive after the comp.

I LOVE THIS CHASSIS !!!!
Amazingly stable and NO torque twist at all,I can't wait for it's first comp next weekend !

I finaly got around to installing my dig

I pretty much copied the way Hildy mounted his servo.I like that the servo isn't mounted to the chassis,and this seemed like the lowest practicle way to mount a full size servo. Thanks Hildy for the idea.

Cut up my 7 cell stick pack and made a saddle pack out of it.

Bent up a new lower perch for the Rooster.

hey dave,

my gc2 is set up somewhat similar to yours(suspension wise, except I got the losi shocks)

my question is:
do your upper links hit your shocks when close to end of susp cycle?.... mine hit near very end of cycle, and it may actually help-due to limiting the articulation. just wondering

Mine hit also it will not effect it at all

Dave,

Glad to see you used my idea on your truck. It seems like the perfect way to mount a full-sizer into the GC2.

Also glad to hear the front shocks hitting the upper links is a normal thing, mine does it also.

The top link hitting the shock has never been what kept me from winning.

I put 1/4 inch spacers in between the chassis and the shocks on top.This helps with stabilty and clearance of the links.

I think it's ready for Sunday. Dig is in and working great,changed my stick pack to a saddle,lowered my ESC.Now I need to figure out how to drive it.

Did you have to shim the tranny from the skid plate or did the dig not get in the way of anyhting?

On the front servo/link mount, did you narrow yours? I dont seem to have enuff room to run my split battery pack on the axle mounts like you have yours. Do you have a pic of the front axle without the servo and batteries mounted?
