| Does anyone know these shocks
I am building up a Xtrail. I am looking for some shockes because the stock axial ones are to long and I dont like the droop setup. Now I found these shocks : http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSA5082 Those are about 100mm long and I guess they could fit quite good. Does anyone of you have expierence with them. Are the okay? |

They are THE BEST crawler shocks. You will hear more good things about these shocks than any other. Super smooth and totaly worth the cost.

I would'nt say there the best, but a good option. Personaly I'm a big fan of Traxxas Big Bores.

| Losi 4" Crawler Shocks
These are the best shocks ive found for the ax10 yet. They are very smooth and dont leak. The only down side is that the stock mounts are not drilled out enough for 3mm screws (like the stock ax10 screws). Its a rather easy fix for a great set of shocks. Also there is no ball joint at the top of the shock. Even so defenatly recommended.

I just bought these exact shocks last weekend from LHS. I am going to try and build and install them this weekend. I was wondering what weight of oil are people running in them? Rusty |

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunally I screw up my measurements. 100mm ( 4") is to long for the Xtrail Chassis. With a 100mm Shock i would get about 85mm belly clearance. I think this is to much. So I will lock for a shock about 85mm.

| You could always limit the shock length with a little fuel line inside the shock body. The Losi shocks are the smoothest I've ever run. |

I believe you can also buy a shorter version by piecing together the body, piston, seals and shafts. Not sure of the lenght but they are for the front of the XXX. The 100mm are the rear for the XXX.

I personally don't like the Losi shocks. I just can't get them to stop leaking. Two of us locally bought the crawler shocks and neither of us can keep oil in them. Even tried replacing the o-ring cartridges with new ones, still leak. Never had this big of an issue when I ran them on electric cars, so not sure what the deal is.

Too much articulation can be a bad thing.

They are one the best upgrades i have done. i run 55wt and the traxxas rod ends. i have had no leaking problems and it sits alot lower. money well spent.
