Default Homemade Battery plates/weigh station

I fabed these up today out of some 3/4" X 1/8" aluminum stock.

I then proceeded to add 1oz of weights to the underside of each plate.

Here are the batteries mounted (its a pic without the weights but you get the idea)

I'm gonna try to make some 4 link plates tomorrow. What do you think??

Lay the batteries down on their sides so they can't short out on the aluminum as they vibrate around on that electrical tape over the ends of your batterys straps...

Looks awesome! I'm probably going to try and fab some up for myself this weekend - we'll see how that pans out though

Have you trail-tested it yet?

And most definately be careful of shorting out your packs.

I plan on putting some lexan pieces on the bottom of the pack then re-wrap it with tape. Before I made these the batteries sat right on the axle.

The only "trail" I have even been on is retaining wall blocks in my back yard! But so far they are working very well.
