Installed the new MIP driveshafts and flung out a 3/32 x 5/8 cross pin. Crawler is down until I can find another. Anyone know where to get these?

Edit: the CVD kit does not have the crosspins. Your instruction sheet should have the correct part number. | |

Order a gauge pin in that diameter from McMaster-Carr and cut it to length with your dremel.Gauge pins are what we machinist measure holes with and are hardend and ground. They are very affordable and you can get them over night if you need. One pin is around 2 inches long so you can cut off extras, and they will not bend or break. Just another option for you to try. Last edited by Cave Dave; 06-19-2008 at 07:45 PM.

You may go to your LHS & procure a length of wing wire or piano wire that is the right size (take the part that the pin goes through) & that would work until you can get a rebuild kit.

why not go to the hardware store and buy a 3/32" drill bit and cut 5/8 off the non drilling end? you might even be able to 2 out of one bit.

If you're really in a jam, just cut down a finishing nail. It would work for a while.

use an old hex wrench (you know the little cheesy l shaped ones) that you don't need, cut it down, and now you have a flat spot to crank down the set screw on...Work good...
