So you're basically buying a kit with RTR quality electronics, servo and ESC plus a very cheap battery and charger. I see this as spending more than $450 because you will be upgrading that AM radio. The servo that comes with it is useless. The speed control is barely servicable (I believe that it is aimed at the micro RC market). You will be buying a new charger to charge Lipo when you get those. The tires work but you will be buying better for crawling. I would say you're better off getting the ARTR ($220-240) and buy an inexpensive FM radio w/o servo ($80). Get a Hitec 5645 servo (cheap $55) but good). Motors are cheap for 55T ($25) and a Tekin Rebel ESC or FX-R. You'll save money in the long run. Or buy the set-up you are looking at and sell the stuff on ebay for 50% and buy good stuff. |
