20g (0.7oz)

We added the holes to help keep the weight down. Increased the cost some because of the additional machining required, but they also look great.

Thanks,
Axial

Not at the moment, but there is room to drill it out and re-tap it to accept an M4 screw.

Thanks,
Axial

what would be killer is removable delrin slides, 1/16th of a inch held in with tappered head screws or hexs.

I got a chance to check these out at the WCCC event recently. The machine work in them alone warrants the price for sure. Depending on the CNC machine used there are up to 4 operations on each link, plus the anodize and logos. You'll break rod ends before bending these links for sure. And there's plenty of meat to drill and tap them for the bigger M4/8-32 threaded rod. I'll find a way to run a set on my 2.2 comp rig.

While nice, and very well made, by the looks of them (they are Axial parts, they will be well made lets face it), I can see 2 flaws.

Firstly, they are square in section, and quite chunky. That's possibly gonna make them hang up on rocks and ledges when crawling.

Secondly, The picture here shows the axle ball joits are cranked, not straight. I'd have concerns that these, in plastic, would take repeated front/rear end impact very well. It's something that occurs a fair bit on a crawler when you drop off ledges, roll end over, or just fail badly at crawling over something and fall off. My thought is the non-straight angle in the plastic will lead to it stressing the outside (bottom side) of the ball joint and either folding up and snapping, or splitting along the bottom edge of the screw thread part.

Just my 2p worth...
