Default Broke tranny!!

Well we played on our new rock garden for about 3 hours sunday and had no problems. Well yesterday I went out there and last 20 minutes and broke a rod end. So I fixed that and was out there a few more minutes and I broke the front output on my tranny. From the looks of it is hollow inside so it really doesnt surprise me it broke. I did find someone selling a VF dig yesterday so hopefully I will have it fixed this weekend and the dig hooked up.

I have now had the GC-2 chassis on there a week and the delrin is REALLY taking a beating on the side plates at the bottom. I am not sure how long it will last. I really like the chassis but I am looking forward to the longshot chassis coming out.

Sounds sweet!! I dont think I will have any more problems once I get the pieces from VF in there. Hopefully they will be stronger. I am surprised the one plastic gear in the tranny didnt strip out or something before it broke that.

I havent ran this chassis on concrete. I did a lot on concrete with the old one though. The rock garden we are setting up now is Iron ore. It is a really tough coarse and we are constantly hanging up and sliding over stuff.

I ordered 2 sets also. Do you know what material they are?? I also ordered an aluminum tranny case. Not sure how much difference that will make but it's bright green and will look cool :-P

I have the same worry about my GC2 sideplates wearing out at the bottom.

With only a little runtime, they are beat up real good. I do alot of ledge 'hopping' with the truck and when those sideplates slam down hard on a sharp edge, it tears the delrin up:-P

Yours looks pretty beat up too
