Good suggestions. I would recommend the Hitec 645mg's front and rear, the Towerpro servos are very glitchy and constantly fail. I have a stack of worthless tower pro servos.

My Axial AX10 come 5th in Super Class in the 2008 UK Nationals at Bracken Rocks on Sunday, and I have 2 x Hitec 5645MG's controlling my steering both front and rear. If you need to turn the wheels like a real rock crawler (scale), you need power and coupled with a CC BEC @ 6v, these things are lethal. Well enough for what you need and for the price they are the best quality. Don't go for JR radio gear or servos either I don't know many happy people with them, stick with futaba radio gear and either futaba or hitec servos

and "metal gears" are ESSENTIAL if you plan to use a metal servo horn on it without a servo saver... I'd go with LiPo also, a Mamba Max, Cobalt Puller Motor, bent lower links, battery/servo tray with batt on it, slipper clutch and driveshaft rings, and for tyres its a personal choice, im loving ripping everyone apart at the moment on M3 Badlands w/memory foam. Put weights in the wheels as well, but read up and also testing is essential as it again is a personal choice thing, oh yeah and use genuine Deans connectors!
