does anybody find that their crawler has more flex if you dont put oil in the shocks? from the pictures i have seen of the other stock axials it seems like mine doesnt flex as much. i put alot of (stock) oil in my shocks, would that effect it? Last edited by siriussr; 07-18-2008 at 02:19 PM.

if you put to much shock oil in as the shaft goes into the shock body you may be creating a hydro lock disabling you from getting full travel.

also just because it looks stock doesn't meen it is. They ones you are seeing may be running softer axial springs.

id try to get some softer springs....i wouldnt recommend running no oil...thats your dampner. it controls your rate of flexion and smooths out your ride. i run my oil up to about a 1/16" from the top of the body and it doesnt hydro lock out. you wont gain travel by not running any oil versus the right amount of oil as far as i know.

i have also found that my tires are not staying on the ground as well as some others i have seen. what is better, BB's or stick-ons? and how much weight in each tire? i have one friend who has almost a pound in each tire and that sounds like too much.
