I've never understood why anyone would run the uppers (or lowers) on the outside of the chassis.?...
Can you please explain Thanks
If the uppers were mounted on the inside, they would start to be triangulated the same direction as the lowers. You would then see some lateral movement out of the axle. If you want to mount them on the inside, you'll need to triangulate the uppers. They will have to be triangulated the opposite direction as the lowers though.

Ok, now i understand what he was saying.... but why not just move the holes inward (toward center) a little bit on the axle plate, so they are still parallel??

Right, I run my uppers triangulated on both my crawlers, and on the inside of the chassis...

...So is there an advantage to running the uppers strait instead of triangulated??

Yes,you could move the uppers in at the axle I guess. Knowing Anthony,I'd say he's got something in mind and there's a reason why he's left the uppers mounted to the outside on the axle mount.

Depends on what you think an advantage is There's pros and cons to all link set ups. Finding the set up that works good for you is the important part. Looks like Anthony's chassis could be set up either way.

well after messing around today I found out that if I put a 11mm spacer in between the chassis and the shocks the upper links will clear the shocks by a hair. I might run a 13mm spacer on each side just for more clearance. 13mm is the most I want to do, the shocks are now almost perfectly lined up with the axle mounting spots.

At full flex

stand still

Do you think a double triangulated link set up using tlt axles will work with this chassis.

what if you used the Axial angled ones (B) at the frame, the ones the stock Axial uses frame side on the uppers.

then used the lower Axial mounts that drop the ball off center (A) on the rear at the plate?

Yea I thought about using the axial offset ends on the rear plate, but I always seem to break them. I think I have it figured out. I will see once I get to drive it.

got all the links mocked up. I might go down another hole in the rear for more AS.I also made so .461" spacers for in between the shock and chassis. I hope to have this running by next week.

Ive read almost all the threads about AntiSquat and I dont want to jack the thread in that direction. This is more of a question about why you like so much AS?

I prefer almost none but being new Id like to hear what you feel it gives your vehicles. Im watching all your prototype builds and am wagering between your rig and another one around here so Id like to hear personal preferences.

thanks

Well Im almost finished with it. Threw some old wheels and tires on it for mock up. I have some Mayhem Wheels on the way .

As you can see there is a hollow puller on there, I dropped it and bent the pinion shaft. The puller will fit but is REALLY TIGHT. If you are going to run a Puller you need to run a 14t or lower pinion and file the rear of the puller, to make it fit.

I am going to try to relocate the Dig servo tomorrow.

3 1/8 of ground clearance Its a little tall for me I think, Im going to adjust the shocks later.

well I didnt get much done yesterday, I just relocated the DIG servo and setup my shocks. For the dig servo I just took off my old home made servo mount and drill 2 new holes in it and bolt it right up. I got it nice and low about where I wanted it.Everything clears nicely.
As for the shocks, Since they are Revo shocks they are valved really slow, So I drilled out the piston holes with a #55 drill bit.Im running 50w in the rear and 35w up front.
