First things first is to get the Axles built a little more then they are. So I picked up so Axial CVD, HD gears and some Bonus Line lockers. So along with the RCP straight Axles, shafts and Rc4wd knuckles and C's I already Have, I should be good.

Just got done installing the gears And the lockers in the rear axle.NO SLOP(I meant to take the Pic before I put grease on the gears.)

I also decided to try to clean the looks up on the RCP adapters, so I chucked them in the lathe and turn the end down and counter sunk the holes. Looks better I think.

I shimmed the everything with some KYOSHO SHIMS. The nice thing about the bag of kyosho shims is it come with 30 shims (10) .1 shims,(10).2 shims, and (10).3 shims.

Shims are a good thing! I used Telon bushings for shims in mine.

What's up with the undercuts in the axle shafts?
Engineered to be the weak point?

Looks like they are worn from contact with a screw that was coming down into the housing.

Yotachump's Ax10

That makes sense now, I did the same thing to my R2D output shaft gear, Too long a screw chewed my teeth.

Now that the Axles are done it time to move onto the tranny. The Tranny already has Aluminum gears in it, so Im just going to finish it off.

So I ordered up a Axial slipper and decided to install one CDW 5mm 4130 output for the front.
