HBZ Warthog + ARTR AX10 1 Night build.

Well Just got the HBZ tuber in the mail today and the ARTR showed up on Tuesday. Its time to get building!! I have to be at work in 5 hours so lets see what I can get done :ror:

Specs:
ARTR AX10
HBZ Chrome Warthog Chassis
Custom painted orange panels
Only changes to ARTR kit will be different springs
HH Cobalt puller 10t
Mamba Max esc
Castle BEC
2200 11.1v lipo
Hitec 5945 servo

When the frame showed up at the office today I could not wait to get home and start on it. The thing is beautiful!! Also the fact that I could take the ARTR and just bolt it on is a huge plus. Beats the ol' days of spending weeks welding a frame and making all your own links, mounts, ect. This build is going to be a breeze.

Lets get started. Sorry about working on my washer, the table is being occupied by Drumbeater working on his crap :flipoff:

I took the ARTR out of the box and placed the HBZ frame next to it, you can get a good idea of its size here. Next I started disassembling the ARTR chassis to get ready for the swap. With the CF sideplates mounted everything bolts right up.

Nice big lipo pack, that Cobalt puller is thirsty :ror: I might gear it up for even more speed. My brother will be driving this in our local competition tomorrow and some of the rocks are slick.

This is the regular version. I might swap out to the comp style later depending on how this does. Glad I convinced you! You wont be sorry "thumbsup"

Main differences in the material that the tuber is made from. The comp version should be lighter but I dont have hands on experiance with it yet.

I recieved this directly from HBZ (sort of).

It went together extremely smoothly. Left me plenty of time to tweak on the suspension setup and get all the electronics dialed in.

Some more pics from last night. I will get some outdoor pics soon.

Notice on the rear shocks I used a 2 stage spring setup. I had some nice soft traxxas springs but they were too short. I cut one axial spring into thirds and used the top and bottom for the short upper spring. Works great!!

Ended up swapping the front springs to the same black traxxas springs and running some spacers to get some ride height back. It actually feels pretty good with the stock AX10 shocks. I might change the oil if I have time before the comp. Needs wheel weight first though 8)
