Default Axial AE-1 ESC Problems

So I got this wonderful ESC for like $8 off E-bay and dropped it into my ARTR just to have a functioning ESC in the mean time. But now I have an issue that I can't seem to crack. It worked for about an hour or so but now the ESC only works in reverse.

I have rechecked all the connections running from the ESC, the RX, and the motor, and everything is correct. I run a 2216 Traxxas RX cuz it was cheap and the ESC indicates that it is getting signal, it just not switching to reverse.

Integey 55T motor
Axial AE-1 ESC
Traxxas 2216 3 channel RX
Futaba S3305 Servo
2s2p 8k 15c lipo

Thanks in advance for the help.

i am posative that you cant use lipo batterys with it in nicad's and ni-mh batterys so you could have killed it by using lipo batters on it.

They are strange, some times, for no reason at all, they will change settings. They will switch direction, or go to FORWARD/BRAKE/NO REVERSE, or they just will not arm. I have found 8 out of 10 times just reseting them fixes it, 2 out of 10 times it will need to be reprogrammed.

PS: they are not set up for LiPo (no cut off) but you can run 2S and 3S LiPo's through them no problem.

my guess is either you killed it with the lipo or you wasted 8 bucks and someone riped you off and sold u a broken esc

I ran 2S lipos on my stock ESC till I upgraded, and the same ESC still see's lipo use in my other car.

to the OP, i'd try reseting like has been said, not much can go wrong with these things, but if its not a simple fix it was unfortunatly, likely a bunk ESC from the get go, good luck anyawy.
