I run a slipper in mine but I run 14t pinion and a 83t spur (platic) on 45t motor on 4s lipo I do not break drive shafts with this setup. The metal to metal will be louder.

I used to have the same problem. I run a bm-9 brushless with a mamba 25. The cogging drove me crazy. I was running a 12p with 87 spur which just rubbed my drivshaft rings at full articulation. To solve this problem check out cdw outputshafts http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...&highlight=CDW you can run a 96t spur from kimbrough and still have room. I have a set of the 6mm and they rock |

I'm currently using the 12T Hot Racing Pinion. You have to use the supplied spacer plate on the Axial to clear the coloured 'shank'. It can make assembling the motor on the transmission 'interesting'. It works real well though, I've got bags of torque now and it's still fast enough at full beans to give a good wheel speed burst. Just gotta sort out my torque twist now but I've got a solution on the way for that from East End Machining.

Well i run a 89 hot racing aluminim gear and a 55turn motor a 20 tooth pinion 3s lipo 11.1 volt, i have more than enough wheels speed and tons of torque. I don't break shafts becouse i used the slide locks to keep the shafts ears in there place. |
