| Incline Test
Well I finally decided to do a little incline test. I have done a couple things to the pictured rig. The same one as posted above with the carbon like panels, including weighting the fronts to about 8-9oz each and the rear to just over 6 oz.. As you will note this is a sprung setup with just under 3" of belly clearance. The front right wheel is coming up during the video, but it's hanging on. This is at 65 degrees, but I think a little tuning and lowering the belly clearance to something a little more realistic competition height of 2 3/4" might should improve it's vertical ascent capabilities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7t5GCl1K9g Yes you can run a body with the chassis however just noting the point was to negate the use of a body. Very nice work!! I was looking around for a chassis and ran across an article that lead to your SPV1 Chassis, to your site and back to here. Full circle it seems. I was about buy another one, but I think I would like to try yours out instead. Great yet simple clean design. |

Fresh sold out. I need to get a few more cut for me. They have been pretty popular actually.

I got my SPV2 in the mail today. I have it set up for now, but I have to get new shocks. OEM just won't do. Actually they work for now, but I have to make some stand off mounts for the front shocks. Great idea... again I like the very clean look. I'll post a few pictures later. Peace |

Non ya: Thanks for the heads up on the "10mm" save me trail and error. Your crawler looks great. Shocks look like the ones I have my eyes too. Here's a couple pictures of mine in its current configuration... |

Guy from a shop here had some shocks for me try out... RC-One tmaxx heavy duty shocks. A little stiff when ran it. I reconfigured links and mount points a little. We shall see. |

Those are some great looking builds guys. Keep them coming. No matter what shock you run, the chassis should have a hole for mounting. One of the best parts is that the chassis will look like new with just a little work from a scotch brite pad. ;) |

lol well they would not be if it were not for you and your idea. thanks again for coming up with this. right now i have 3 1/4in of gc and it will still sit on its side without falling over lol. i'm still tinkering with shocks and setups to lower it but it works great so far. |

Just noticed the lower links with the holes in them. How did you get the color off? and do the hook on anything?

i used oven cleaner on them to get the annodizing off. spray it on and let it sit for about 15 minutes then rinse with water and polish them. they have not gotten caught on anything yet. |

Stampede, I will ask this question to you, or any others that want top answer it. I have been messing around with different setups, shocks, and have about maxed the stock chassis to as many holes as I can change on it. I have a DNA Dig, a JRH 7 Turn in it, how would this fit in the chassis. I have made a skid now that moves all forward about half an inch to be able to move the rear links in all the way, so they don't hit the back of the dig, or the back of the motor. Setup with Losi shocks isn't bad, but am low on the CG height, only have about 2 1/4" and seem to need a bit more on sharp, pointy rocks. How would any of this setup work with the SPV2 chassis |

Nice job on the build. what kind of material did you use for the body panels?
