i thinking their aim is keeping it as a simple bolt on for those with stock rigs. this way users dont have to worry about modifying anything to use it, bolt and go. COG isnt a worry to them.

Something that isn't a clone of a r2d. But that's a different thread...

Looks cool, hard to believe you get all those machined parts for only $40

lets get one on a rig and see how they work

Looks like the RC4WD dig with a metal ring around it.

The big advantage I see here compared to the CKRC RC4WD dig for example, is that it comes with an outdrive that is already flat on both sides and is the width of the piece it enguages on the dig unit. I had to purchase CDW chromoly outdrives for the CKRC because the stock aluminum outdrive did not hold up to the task. So with this factored in the Hot Racing unit is half the cost if the price holds at around $40.

One in my truck! LOL!! Looks well worth the cost to me...as long as it holds up and functions good.

In my opinion this is much better than a clone of the RC4WD as it is enclosed. I have the CKRC FT dig which works well but after a bit of dirt gets into it from front digs and such it will bind up. This unit being enclosed will keep that from happening plus it comes with the outdrive ready to go. I would say it is an excellent deal at $40.

I think it looks great for 40 bucks. I'm assuming everything shown in the pictures comes with the kit?

OK, got the dig installed & so far it's working great & easy to install...Some basic instrucs might have helped us newbies, but there's
nothing included and nothing to download from HR. But a couple of pics
got me through when common sense failed
Looking forward to comp testing it in a couple weeks...
