That's what I'm afraid of. Anyway, I found some fairly stiff spring from an extension cord housing (tore it apart!). Will try it out and see whether it helps or it's a waste of time.

With the HR dig in place, what do you guys use as for the drive shaft? The original AX10 units? Or Traxxas units? Appreciate advice on part numbers. I'm currently using the 3Racing shafts and don't think there's much I could modify without some serious machining tools.:-(

If you want all three dig positions you need a radio with a third channel that has a three position switch. The 3.0 does not have a 3 position swithch on the third channel.

Has onyone with a 4 or more channel radio tried using the left stick for throttle and dig with or without a shift gate? Correct me if I am wrong. You could do throttle stick to the left for forward and reverse in 4wd, stick centerd for forward and reverse rear freewheel, and stick to the right for forward and reverse rear locked? You would have to center your servo with your dig linkage in the freewheel position. I have a dx6 and a hr dig on the way.

The DX3 does have a three position switch. You just have to program it to work.
