Cut the front foams down by about 15mm in diameter and installed 145-150 grams of foam tonight. Made a HUGE difference.

Tomorrow night will try a little weight 30-40 grams in the rear as downhill it becomes unstable with no weight in the back.

Next step, fit the lipo on the diff as opposed to the old skool lead battery on the frame.

Then softer coils with heavier shock oil folowed by 4 link. Will post up bit by bit.
Please let us know. Very curious what results are. Thanks. I will let you know what I do too.

Rear links now inboarded to the inside of the diff mounts and inside of the chassis with the shocks moved to the outside.

Lipo mounted on front upper link.

Damn this thing is soooo much better.

Next up - shock oils and springs.

nice. rear upper or lower? That setup usually works, i assume, especially in full size rigs.

any other changes?

Just the rear lowers, waiting for the 4 link brackets to arrive ATM

I battled this issue with weight and suspension adjustments. Running a good preload on my left rear, and running 9oz in each front plus a saddle pack, and getting the front preload settings dialed in seems to have done the trick.

thanks. can you explain how you setup running a good preload on the left rear?

what did you do to get the front preload settings dialed in?

Using a couple lines that I consistently was having trouble with. I had someone give me a pretty good starting point, then I just tuned it from there. I am running the losi shocks, so adjusting them is a turn of a nut, on axials, you would use spacers...

I ended up with 80wt oil in the left rear with a 1/4" spacer added to the Ax shock, the front runs 60wt oil and is set up for about 1/2" droop using short springs on the stock Ax shocks. I tried Dynatrax shocks but didn't like them as much, but I have changed things out enough that they may work now. I run a 4 link in the rear and am trying to figure out how to do the front. I cut off the plastic mounting tubes on the axle to mount everything lower and now am stuck trying to figure it out......
