| Hank's Betty/ Basher Comp Rig
My friend Hank has been working on his AX10 alot recently. He was just not happy with the way it looked so he decided to go with a scale look. Specs Ax10 kit Momba Max 55 turn with 16t pinion 3 cell lipo Panthers on stock rims for now. Here is what he started with. The truck worked well but something was missing. We tried some little details but It was still not what Hank wanted. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-20-2008 at 07:10 PM. |

On with the rebuild. Time for a new cab and bed. Hank got what he needed body wise from b4wheeler. Thanks John. You all have seen what a stock betty body looks like so I will not bother with those pix. Here it is in the mock up stage. When he was satified with his work he took a well deserved break. I will update Hanks progress as soon as possible. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-12-2008 at 08:28 PM. |

Hank barly let the paint dry before getting his new rig out on the trail. He was having some trouble with the steering and decided to hop out and take a look. I am suprised he gets any work done. Every time I turn around he is sitting on his @ss. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-12-2008 at 08:24 PM. |

Hank got a delivery from the USPS today and he had to get right to work. In his haste to get started he forgot to put a jackstand under the truck. Let Hanks mistake be a lesson to you. Safety first. Hank was lucky to have not been hurt. After I gave him some help properly securing his rig he got back to work. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-12-2008 at 08:15 PM. |

Hank is trying to decide if he has 2 much weight in the bed. He would like to bring some firewood along for his next camping trip. It might be to much, just not sure. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-12-2008 at 08:23 PM. |

If hank's not to busy I might need some work on my rig. Let me know I will have to be here to keep an eye on my daughters barbies.

Hank does not like his women folk that big. It makes him feel inadequate. Last edited by K Riccardi; 10-25-2008 at 03:23 PM. |

Here is a little background on the CKRC dig unit that Hank has. The install was OK, sand this, wiggle that and with a little luck he got it working very well. That is for about 2 battery packs. He rounded off 2 different S.S outputs and wore out the slider. After trying to get through to CKRC for at least a week he finally got to talk to Jack who ended up sending me some replacement parts. Yeah CKRC. There costummer servace is crazy slow but they did come through. I helped Hank get the new parts installed and set up. Instead of modifying the output like last time I got Chromoly outputs and modified the dig output to fit the trany output. The dig unit worked great last night. Hank took the rig out for some good old fashion testing. I have not seen him this happy in quite a long time. (it had been at least a month since he had a working dig) All was great for the first minute and a half of the testing. Then the rear output stripped again. Hank and I are done with it. He will be getting a DNA very soon. Hank is a little more than annoyed at this point. I think he might need anger management classes. Last edited by K Riccardi; 11-12-2008 at 08:21 PM. |
