I would recomend tire's next time you drop some coin. Too many new tire's to chose from, so I won't tell you what to get (Losi Claws) but what ever you go for they will be a night and day differance over the Lizzard's. Nice build. Keep us posted on the progress.

| Yeah, I am leaning towards the HP Rovers or the Losi Claws. I almost bought a set of Rovers yesterday but went with the drivelines instead since I am always breaking them. The Rock Lizards aren't the greatest tire but I have gotten used to them and I am currently siping them to get a little more performance out of them. Next on the list is definitely some new tires, probably in the HP Rover flavor. Thanks for the input |

After you get tires, save a little and go lipo. They are lighter and smaller for the same voltage and capacity. 7.4 volts+1900mah=2" by 3" by 1/2" (perfect for links)

| Yeah a nice lipo battery is also on the list but this was a very low dollar project to save me money from blowing it on my 1:1 4runner. The wifey watches my mini crawler budget closely, so part of the "deal" was I had to make as much use of parts and components I already had, IE batteries, charger, motors etc. As time goes by and I can sneak trips to the Hobby store bigger and better things materialize.... |

Well I tried out the siped Rock Lizards and I noticed it helped out a little bit. Not as much as I had hoped but it did give me a little more traction. Next buy are some new tires... |

Invested in some new Rubber today... white label HB Rovers. Going to try running them with stock foams and the same BB weights I was running with the Rock Lizards. Still waiting on my tire jockey friends to hook it up some sticky wheel weights. New VS. Old |

So I am just wondering, I did a quick search and I didn't see what I was looking for. What direction are you guys running your Rovers? Are you running them with the center lugs pointed "Up" or "Down"?? Or does it make much of a difference? | |
