Default Short wheelbase x-trail

Ive got a question for Xtrail owners, can the wheelbase be shortened to 10.1 for the blazer body? I have one on order (painted) and I wanna start setting the truck up for it in the mean time. If I can't shorten the truck up enough I am going to end up building a new crawler for all the goodies I have in the mail. That being said I would rather just make it work on mine, but hey I can always convert the AX10 back to a comp rig, and build a fresh scaler.... Any insight or advice?

Thanks in advance!

If you use the stock Axial links, it only goes down to 11.5". But if you use your own links I'm pretty sure that you can make it go to your desired wheelbase.

You can also order some shorter axial links, here's where I got mine.

Thanks for the link! If I can make that work I will try going that route.

So say I need 4-40 rod, should I just order it from tower?

No need to buy new links. Just cut your existing ones down and tap them for 3mm. Very easy and if you already have a tap it is FREE.

your local hardware or home improvement store should have threaded rod also. I use 8-32 rod, 1/4" brake tubing and revo rod ends. After I cut the tubing to length, I like to hit them with some black paint. The paint won't last for long on the bottom sides of the links, but I looks good while your building.

WOW!!! What is the WB of that guy?

I have my Comp AX10 I have rebuilt to its stock kit form (with exception of the 4-links). I'm a little unsure what I want to do with it. One option is to put a Blackfoot body on it, but I'd need to get the WB down to 9.5"...
