Default Black Widow Crew discussions

Figured it wouldn't hurt to start our own thread. Here is my truck. I tried to get good pics of my suspension set up. The shocks are front rustlers. The first pic is all of the articulation that I am currently getting. It sucks. I am looking to grab some Losi Crawler shocks right after Christmas and I hope that they will fix the problem. Otherwise, I love the chassis, But its frustrating that I can't really do anything with it right now. The springs are as soft as I can find. If anyone can reccommend a fix, please do. My ground clearance is around 2 1/4".

I don't have a Black Widow but from the pics it looks llike spracing out the top shock mount from the chassis a little would help increase your articulation. The way you have it setup right now looks like the shocks would be binding at the shock mount prevent full compression of the shock.

^ He's right. I had the same problem... as did many with this chassis. Put some standoffs at the top shock mount to get it away from the chassis. It should flex about coke can high (4"? ) set up like that.

for those who didn't already see mine in the thread where the BWC was birthed hahaha lol

yeah spacing those shocks out away from the chassis is where it's at. And I will say the losi crawler shocks are the trick sh%t on this chassis. nice smooth flex.

You can use any of the bent links made for the AX10. There no specific to chassis manufacture. Axial, STRC ect ect will all work.

where your lower links hook to your axles, i would put a spacer next to the shock and put the linkage on the other side of the bracket thats on the axle. you will need some longer hardware but it will let your truck move alot more with out your springs binding against your linkage... hope you understand what im saying

What springs are you running with the Rustler shocks? I've got a Black Widow coming and have ordered up some Rustler shocks. I've got some soft springs on my current Maxx shocks... will those work with the Rustlers?

Actually the stock links are a good bit longer. I may try cutting mine old ones down, but wanted to see if there were other options first.

i am running the 4" losi shocks with standoffs at the chassis with the white springs and a small internal spring(partial droop) in the front and no spring on the back(kinda queer), it has just the right amount of articulation and manages to get me 1st or second usually in our local comps(8-15 people ussually). really like the chassis, although i have bent 2 lower delrin links and have replaced the delrin in back with revo suspension pushrods, they are the right length and smooth so they slide the rocks great.

I am running the 4" losi shocks white springs no internal springs. space your shocks out a bit from the chassis as this will make suspension much smoother.

enzlow did you see my post in other bwc thread. mfm got back with me and said they would be more than honored if we started a club. I was looking around the net to try and get some logo ideas. I also asked him to send me a graphic file of the black widow logo sticker he sent out with chassis so maybe we can make something with that.
how you liking the rovers. was thinking of ordering some after I finally get some $$$ and get my mayhem double fattys orderd

l'm in with the whole BW group idea, but could't you have come up with something better than "crew"? Maybe something related to spiders, or arachnids, black widow habits, or deadly small creatures...

For example a signature line that says
"Member of the Black Widow Chaotic Web".... or something like that

but whatever... I have one so I'm in.
