thanks for the complement I didn't say why I switched, but because it's smaller and you can adjust the settings on the esc no need to link to the computer.

Just ordered a set of hb rovers and 4 sets of # 8 rock hammers reach foams. Now I will have these and my rock grabbers both mounted on mayhems. I may try running a combo of grabbers in the rear and rovers in the front to see how that works. When I get them in and mounted I will let you all know.

The one thing I dont like about this chassis is the way the motor hangs out unprotected. So I decided to make a skid plate to protect it I started out with an old skid plate I had and cut it down and sanded it ,drilled some holes w/ room to counter sink the screw heads. The whole project only took about 1/2 hr.

tell me what you think

Good Idea on the motor skid. Good choice on the HB rovers, I love mine.

Just a few updates. I tapered the front and back of the motor skid I think this will prevent hang up's. I also got my airtronics servo in to day 420 oz of torque, can't wait to get it on there. I will post some pic's soon.

I have used that same style motor skid for quite awhile. It works very well, never caught on the motor plate after I installed it.

Well got my mayhems all mounted up with my rock grabbers and I am trying memory foam in them now. I liked the extra ground clearance of the rock grabbers but, cog was to high. I lowered the chassis down to 2 1/2'' belly clearance. still working out toque twist issues hopefully get them cleared up tonight before the comp tomorrow. will try to post more pic's later.

I think is was good enough to take 1st.

I like how the memory foams are working in the rock grabbers, they seem to get a little better grip than with the stock foams.
