Default my 2009 comp swx.

Sorry I did not get progress pic's but here's the finished product without the body.I am using the same losi grappler body I had on my old rig till I get a new one painted. It was a tight fit to mount the tranny and motor and not much room for electronics, but defiantly a big improvement over the stock chassis. I am going to play with the shock mounting locations and ground clearance to see what I like best, and I am waiting on some mayhem comp double phattys to come in.

Tell me what you all think

This is the dig servo mount I made using ckrc R2 dig servo mount.

top shot I will try to clean up the wiring after I get it dialed in. I had to shorten the front drive shaft by about 3/4''

This is a mock up of how I want the body looks like I need to do some trimming

I was woundering how you are liking the HPI s I am running them on my SWX. I am running them on my mayhem double fatties. I am going to be trying HB rovers this weekend to compare. I am just not looking forward to removing all those screws. lol Oh yeah I love your rig it reminds me of mine.

Looks good.
What are you doing for body mounts? I had four on the side panels of the chassis and it didn't slip through tight places or got hung up on high spots on the sides.
I left the two side mounts up front and made one on the rear chassis crossbar to come out on the back window of the body. Truck does better in narrow places/high spots. I really need to move the front body mounts from the sides to the top but my receiver is on the front crossbar.
You can also crank down the left rear shock a bit more to reduce torque twist.
Just my .02 with the chassis. You wont be disappointed with it.

sorry for the blurry pic's but I think you can see how I did them. I used stock axial posts up front.

And parts robbed from a set of associated pivoting body mounts out back.

I love them so far I am funning them with stock UN cut foams and I think I am leaving them that way. I also would like to try the rovers I will probably wait till my double fattys come in, I ordered mine with 8 screws to make it easer to change tires.

Nice, thanks for the body mount pictures.

I got 4 new long body posts the other day. I give that setup a try.

I run HB Rovers (NWT Reach Foams) on Mayhem Double Comps Fattys. I like them the more i run them with this chassis.

I went out to do a little test and tune run. The chassis worked great I still have a little toque twist and I might put some thinner oil in the shocks. the testing ended early because I broke another axial cvd. I am thinking about putting the stock shafts back in. I would rather sacrifice some turning radius than to keep breaking pins.
