Default triangulating lower links

when moving the lower links to the center of the skid and outboard on the axle, I shortened my wheelbase from 12.5 inches to just under 12 inches. Do I just use longer rod ends to compensate for angling the lower links?

no probs with driveshaft/lower link clearance on articulation? ive always run this setup on my 1:1 crawlers with excellent results...seemed to be an a tight fit on the scorpion chassis though??

Longer ends, build new links or a 6mm spacer on each link. Should get you back at 12.5"

I used to run double triangulated on my narrowed Axial chassis also, with no issues. Here's a picture of my current set up,link wise. Very similar to my narrowed Axial chassis.

Yep,I used to frequent Pirate allot. I still go over there and read a bit. I still wheel my Toyota.....when I can keep a front axle in it.

A skinny chassis has a skinnier drag path,so to speak. Less to hang on and lets you squeeze between objects easier. I've been building these little crawlers since 2004. I don't even wanna start to figure how much I've put into these things. I could probably build 2 or 3 1:1 rigs.

That is my old drive line dig set up. It's actually a piece of stainless turned down and made to work with Pede shafts. I got tired of twisting shafts off,so I made the male section on the axle end out of steel. Worked pretty good for a while. I've built me a tranny mounted dig now and it works 100% better.

yeah, remember 4runrick? hes got a link to build a driveshaft dig setup like you have pictured, but i ended up buying the rc4wd r2d tranny from trail gear(they sell RC stuff for axial rigs now!!)...got any links to your RC builds? i know you can build a good 1:1 truck, so id like to steal your ideas on a smaller scale
