From what I've personally used, the ax-10 transmission is way better than RC4WD's, so I would use the HR or DNA dig. I just installed the DNA in my AX-10 and carefully followed the instructions, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! People who have burnt up servos had some binding somewhere or didn't follow the instructions, period.

I went with what was cheap and in stock, the CKRC Dig setup. The part quality wasn't that good. But after smoothing and polishing the moving parts and some extra shims, it's actually pretty good.

stock axial tranny, and buy and install the VF/DNA Dig. it comes with hardened output shafts for the tranny, then install the dig. i think you ll find the VF/DNA much nicer to work with, install and use over the other Dig options..
