you would have to do some research.

this site has every peice of info you need just use the search function.

you dont need anything to use a lipo on your truck. just get proper connectors( DEANS are my recomendation).
to choose a lipo pack, look at the stats of your ESC (electronic speed controler) and see what the voltage limit is, and choose according to that. the stock ESC can take a 2S lipo i believe (7.4V)
AND you must make sure you have a charger that is lipo compatible.

have fun and use the forums' search function. its a faster way to get an anser

the stock axial esc isnt designed to run a lipo i believe. you could probably run a 2s lipo without much issue, but i would buy and use a cut off circut like the one novak offers for a 2s lipo pack.

as noted above, you ll need a LIPO capible charger (like an ICE or a Hyperion) and a good balancer for the lipo packs. the balancer keeps the cells all the same voltages, so one cell doesnt over charge, or over discharge, causing the lipo pack to possible spontaniously combust as seen in the past.

the Hyperion chargers are a good option as they are ac/dc capible, and come with built in balancers, though you may need to purchase an inexpensive balancer tap (multi output for various balancing plugs from multiple manufacturers) . this would depend on the brand/type of lipo pack you buy.

if you want to go lipo though, imho,
buy a Good ESC with lipo cutoff circutry built in.
the Castle Creations Mamba Max are nice units, and i think the Side winders also are lipo compatible with built in circut cutoff.

if you only plan on useing a 2S lipo pack, then the Novak Rooster or Goat ESCs are pretty nice units as well.
there are other options but for quality and reliabilty you cant beat CC. Novaks are also pretty nice units, though seem to have a few more issues over the Castle gear.

You'll need to get a charger and compatible ESC. You will need to figure out how to mount them in your truck.

Sidewinders are lipo compatible.

If you are volting up, you may also want to gear down a little.

Hyperions are a good charger and I love the AC/DC feature as well as the small size.

You can get Lipos all over the place, just make sure your batteries can handle the draw from your motor, RX & servo(s).
