| Drive shaft mod
Drive shaft mod. I use stock Axial steel u-joints and Axial drive shaft rings. I use two female pede shafts and 1 male shaft with the yoke end cut off. I screw 8-32 thread-all into the male shaft to prevent twisting. According to the needed length, I shorten one of the female shafts. I used a set screw to hold the male shaft in place. |

Great Mod... Even better as I had some alloy T-Maxx shocks in my spares box... 30w oil works a treat . . But the Stock Traxxas Red Springs are still abit stiff, whats the best springs to use... Sean Last edited by West Cork Basher; 10-26-2011 at 05:28 PM. | |

a easy way to make scale bungee straps without havin to spend 20 bux on 6 scale bungees is to buy a box of paper clips, and a pack of the bungee type girls hairbows... u will need a set of wire cutters, and needle nose pliers.. Step 1: cut the hairband in half, or to desired length. Step 2: Straighten then paper clip out Step 3: Grab paper clip at the end w needle nose pliers, bend it making a small u shape Step 4: Put a end of the hairbow in between the u bend in hairbow and needle nose pliers Step 5: Start bending/twisting the paper clip around the end of hairbow about 5 times Step 6: Use needle nose pliers to bend the top of the paper clip into a u/hook shape, then snip off the excess Step 7: Squeeze the bottom end of paper clip w pliers to hold it snug in place, then tadaaa! home made scale bungee straps for cheap lol.. if you have any questions or need better specific instructions then feel free to message me and ill be happy to help you in anyway i can! |

| Cheap weights to stock rims
I am not the original person who came up with this idea but I felt it was a cheap upgrade to post. To add some cheap weight to your stock rims, buy 16 1/4-20 button screws at 1/2" long and 16 1/4 nuts. They fit real nice and cost me $3 for all the hardware.

well was gonna post up in the ax10 thread... i had one shock that kept popping on me.. i know everyone is going bigbore shocks with cap mod.. but for those of us that dont want to do that yet as we have other things to buy first... try this.. i used regular white pipe dope tape... u know this stuff PTFE Thread Sealant Tape by ANTI-SEIZE - Pipe Sealant Tape by Zoro Tools Industrial Supplies i put a few wraps around the threads of my rear shock that was falling apart... viola... all better.. no more popping apart |

If your shocks are popping apart try a different mounting point. I run mine on the outer most upper mounting hole and have no issues, if I mount one hole further in they will pop apart. Cheers

This is an old one, but I didn't see it in here: notch your skidplate and put your lower links on the inside of the chassis. Use button head screws to keep from hanging up on rocks. Doing this also helps with link triangulation which lowers the amount of torque twist.
