Default honcho trans and motor mount

so i was in the local hobby shop and was looking at the honcho rtr. ahd also looking at the scorpion rtr. the plate on the bottom that hold the motor and trans look to be the same dimension. except the honch runs the lower links inside of the frame and not outside like the scorpion. now here comes the question. can i swap em over so i can run the honcho plate on my scorpion to get my links inside without having to do any major modding, or am i out to lunch. has anyone done this? im thinking this may be a cheap way to mod my ax10 without too much hassle.

It's easier to just cut your skid the same way the honcho is I think I have one I'll take a pic tonight and post it up

Just go to EAST END MACHINE and order a double triangulation skid. The dont cost much and bolt in, no real modding.

You get better triangulation from the stock skid if you don't cut the tabs at all just cut a slot next to the tab for the link to set in. The East End moves the links even further in and is stronger though, of the 3 or 4 different skids I ran on the stock chassis and a CF copy the East End was the best, kinda, sometimes I would get hung on the chassis corners more than a skid that's inboarded a little less.
