Default Bent links in SWX?

I was wondering if you could use the bent axial lower links on the SWX chassis? Or do you have to use the one's that are supplied with the kit? I am asking because I want to know if they are gonna be too long for this chassis & stretch the wheelbase out more than comp spec?

No you cannont use the bent links. Like you said, they will push the wheelbase out too far. You can make a smaller skid plate and then possible use them, but you'd be defeating the purpose behind the design of the SWX.

With my experience those bent links make the wheel base to long.

Ahh damn! I was hoping that you could use them. Then what other type of narrow chassis can you use with the bent lower links? Or does any aftermarket comp chassis work with the bent lower links? :?

You could use bent links. But first off you dont need them. Second if you do go to them you need to make them the same eye to eye as the stock links. Delrin if i spelled that right. Had a little to much fun at the bar with JD

Because I have the ARTR & want to utilize the bent lower links. I just purchased ones for the front not too long ago & was thinking about picking up a SWX chassis & just swapping everything over. But since you guys say it's not compatible with the SWX then what is the point of getting it. I just like using the bent lower links for the extra clearance.

If you get the right drill bit and tap you can just cut the bent links to the length you need. Just retap the link where you cut it off and put the rodend on. However, delrin (also called Acetal plastic) will not stick to the rocks like aluminum. Search delrin links to get examples.
