Stock AX-10 ESC with a Integy 65t or 55t motor? I heard the stock AX-10 esc is only compatiable with motors around 27t? I'm trying to put together parts to build a custom crawler. I have a locked pede tranny so far. And in the proccess of drawing up a custom chasis to be cut out by the water jet.

I believe ESC's only have a lower limit for motors. So going to a higher turn always works.

Ok yea i figured it wouldn't be the greatest, just as long as it work. Now with a ESC do you have to have some kind of progammer for it. Or do i just get the ESC and hook it up to the motor and servo and its good?

Your stock Axial ESC will work fine with a 55/65t motor. The issue with the stock Axial ESC is that is has NO drag brake..... I hooked up a 55t Axial motor to my stock ESC and it worked great. Half the speed of a 27t motor and a tad more sensitivity. After swapping the ESC with a Rooster, I had a drag brake and 3x the sensitivity and it was just a better all around crawler.

i use to run the stock esc w/ a novak 55 w/ no problems you may want to look into getting an esc w/ a drag break though

If I was going to go to all the trouble to have a custom chassis cut I would not go with the bottom of the barrel esc. Get a Mamba, Tekin,Rooster. Instant reverse and drag brake.
