Wanting a dig, thinking about the hot racing unit. My question is has any one had to replace parts in them yet if so hows the availability of parts and service for this unit. Also any one had a problem with " roll back " with this unit.

I just put one of these on last week, I have around 12 to 15 hrs. on it . Not a bad dig for the money. It was bought from tcs crawlers for around $48 shipped. The only problem was with getting the linkage set right. But overall IMO not bad.

The key I think to smooth operation is good grease, and as level and straight a dig linkage as possible. Mine digs flawlessly even under a moderate amount of load. My only problem is once I cover the linkage with the body... Im screwed When mine wears out and I need parts (if it does it maybe a while by the looks of it so far) for $44 I'd probably just buy another one | |

I have had my HR dig in for about 20-25 11.1v lipos thru mine and it doesnt miss a shift even under load. I take mine apart once a week to check for signs of ware, and none yet. My DNA wore the alum. cog right down twice after about 4-5 packs. IMHO the HR is the way to go, and for $45 i would buy another one. The DNA rebuild kits are $30 a pop and they ware out quickly. Just my .02

Hodges, that's pretty trick the way you have the dig servo mounted.

spend the extra 20 or 30 and get a dna dig. i have not had good luck with hot racing parts and i emailed them many times with issues and they have never returned 1. i will not buy hot racing products ever again. buy a product that people stand behind. DNA dig,TCS dig or the CKRC dig before you buy the hr . you will not find replacement parts for it.
