Started my new build this weekend and uploaded some pics to flicker Link here to gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/3346765...hoto3226556618 Warthog pro comp with carbon fibre panels AX10 artr DNA dig with Hitec HS-225MG Hitec 7995 Proline eight shooters (now Vanquish DH 2.2 revolvers) M3 Moabs (now Chisels) TCS axle plates Flux Motiv esc (+ 7T Puller) Castle link Castle bec Losi crawler shocks?venoms (now Losi on the front & Gmade124mm on the rear) Axial upper link plate HD bevel gears MIP driveshafts (inc shorty for dna dig) TCS skidplate STRC silver link kit TCS Aluminum Boomerang Upper Link Mount STRC Axial AX10 Aluminum upper suspension link Stainless steel screw kit Spektrum DX3R I think thats it. Waiting for a few bits, the shocks, (ordered both, will try them both and the ones I dont use on this rig will go on my lads artr) ESC and castle link are in the post. Still need to order a MIP short shaft to fit dig, dont fancy cutting one of my other MIP shafts down. Oh, and the Hitec 7995 servo, had it on order with my local shop for a couple of weeks now. Dont know if I should be using a bec other than the one in the flux? Let me know what you think Jordi Last edited by jordi555; 04-06-2009 at 04:17 PM. |

Awsome looking rig, the Castle BEC will definitely give that servo all the power it needs. A good choice IMO. |

Thanks guys Ive just ordered some more bits from TCS today, CC Bec, Losi crawler shocks, TCS skidplate and a short MIP shft for the dig. Still waiting for the 7995 tg servo, once Ive got all those bits together I should be ready to roll this badboy out. Trouble is here in the UK, if you want any specialist crawler parts you have to look stateside, with the pound as weak as it is and the shipping, it takes a long time and costs a fair bit. When completed this rig will owe me around $1400.00! Thanks for the advise re the bec, I wasnt sure whether to get one or not, I'm sure I wont regret it. going to use 1500Mah 7.2V TCS saddle packs. do you think this setup should be ok.?? Thanks Jordi |

Thanks for the comments Here in the UK we have very limited resources for crawler parts, so have to ship from over your side of the pond, time consuming and expensive Once complete this rig will owe me around $1400.00. Regarding the BEC, I was in two minds whether to bother or not. But I needed some more bits from TCS, Losi shocks, MIP short shaft for dig, TCS skidplate and the bec. Hopefully I have made the right choice. Old School on the Moabs! Didnt see that coming! Cant get hold of Chisels yet in the UK, should be here in Feb, any good? Gonna try and keep it as black as possible where I can. I think it looks cool too. I covered the panels in carbon fibre printed plastic sheets (used for offroad bikes, thats another story) Thought about using Stainless but figured it would put too much weight up top. The dig has caused be a few problems so far. I had it installed in the other rig with little success, the output shaft was bent. Solomon has sent out replacement parts, so should be ok. Should the dig only switch from 4wd to freewheel to dig when the rig is actually moving (so the output meshes together) or can it be switched when stationary, when i had it set up before everything seemed really stiff. So I took it off as soon as I'd put it on. |

Slapped on the Gmade shocks as the Losi's didnt suit me. I know a lot of folk on here probably think I'm nuts keeping the ride height high (2 3/8'') but it seems to work on this rig. Also looking forward to a delivery from tcs, G8 chisels (cant get them in the UK yet) Recently built up a couple of saddle packs 9.6v instead of the 7.2v I'd been using. made a big difference to overall ability. Also another job on the cards is to make some proper CF skins, seen a few good ones on here and mine look a bit lame compared Overall really suited with the hog, it's a capable well planted rig. |

Love it, the Warthog is one of the chassis that got me interested in crawling. I still have the mag I first saw it in, it was a tiny little ad and it just made me say "ah now that would be fun" |
