your next upgrade will probably be a new set of driveshafts, My stock ones broke 5 min. into the first crawl, upgraded to a set of Hot Racing driveshafts and have not looked back since. BTW I forgot to look if you have a split cell batt pack, if not get one and mount it on the front axle for better weight dist. One more thing, I made my own but you can buy em too, you'll want to mount your electronics on the upper links of your suspension, I put the esc on the front upper link and my rec. on the rear upper link, again this is for better wieght dist. Hope this helps |

Little update..... I just recently added Hot Body Rovers, best upgrade so far! I'm fixing to buy a DX3R for use with a dig. Probably be adding a new servo mount to add a Lipo battery in the near future. Will post new picts soon! Thanks for all those who have helped! |

Nice build so far. Your front and rear tires are mounted opposite of each other. I would suggest ditching the old school saddle pack and get a lipo for some real punch and wheel speed. I have mine mounted on the upper links out of the way. I started much like you and got completly addicted now I'm in $1300. Go with an Tekin FX-R esc it can handle a 3cell lipo. You can see on my pics where I have my lipo mounted. I have a 3cell 2200mAh lipo on the links. The wheel speed and run time are insane. I would also go with a TCS four link conversion front and rear as well as a skid that moves your links inside the chassis. If you are planning to compete a dig is a must. Research carefully before purchasing a dig as there are some real turds out there. Happy Crawling!!!!!!! Last edited by Pdog7; 03-13-2009 at 08:00 AM. |

Losi 4" crawler shocks installed. They are a very smooth shock, I believe it has improved the crawling ability of this truck even more. Now I have to starting thinking dig, chassis, and more wheel speed. |

| Yeah the losi 4's are good, hey dano what wt oil you running go for the tekin FXR Speedie, i got a SWX Rig and a Slingshot rig they are both great but i think the SWX may have the edge over the DNA SS good luck either way you'll see a instant improvment over the stock chassis... =also go for a DNA Dig way better then a CKRC FT dig

i'd say stick with the sidewinder. i love mine and plus it takes 3s fine. i run mine with a 45 turn motor on 3s and i get great low end torque plus on demand wheelspeed. the swx chassis would be a great upgrade. bender's stuff is great i ran an sw2 last year on my tlt and this year i have an sw3(pretty much the same thing as swx) and love it. if it was me i would look into upgraded your rims next.

Newest update, well I just added a new battery tray, and I recently purcased a couple 3 cell 20c 1500mah lipos, and I'm loving the increase wheel speed! More new pictures to follow. I believe my next upgrade will be mip driveshafts. |

Good to see your progression. This stuff is addicting but pretty kool. Yes you're gonna need shafts with the 3s. Never popped a stock shaft til I got 3s, now I've snapped a mip pin. I'm gathering stuff to put together a "basher" out of the parts I've replaced/upgraded on my artr. All I need is an esc and was thinking about a sidewinder for cost and ability to run 3s (maybe). I like the fxr in my "comp" rig but I'm having warranty issues right now. I didn't see where ya replaced your Cs/knuckles. How are they holding up? Anyway keep the updates coming.
