great job on the body! |
looks good, with that receiver on the rear upper links are you getting any binding with it being a 4 link setup? You might want to just move it back a bit and mount it to the four link plate. Could you post a close up of your dig servo mount and linkage? I run mine very similar but am still trying to perfect it. Thanks and good job. |
dig pics heres the pics of the dig linkage...i used one of the stock axial servo mounts...it worked out really well actually...the top mounting hole is one of the three holes used to mount the plate to the axle...once i got it mocked up i marked the position of the second hole and went at it...i countersunk all the holes cuz there really isnt any room for anything to hang out there...in between the chassis and the plate i used two of the green countersunk washers that came in the ax10 kit to space the plate away from the chassis plate in order to clear the button head screw that mounts the upper link...then it was just a matter of mounting the servo and making sure everything cleared...i had to clearance the plate and plastic servo attachment a little around the motor but overall im really happy with it...heres the pics...if i totally confused you just ask me about it... http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00788.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00789.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00792.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00791.jpg |
oh and...no i dont get any binding on the receiver being mounted there...the only place it would hit is the chassis brace and it doesnt get that close |
BEC installed... well guys i finally got the BEC installed after i got around to getting some servo extensions so i could cut the ends off and use them to adapt to the BEC since it needs a male end on it to easily connect to the Castle Link... spent some time cleaning up the wires and heres what i end up with...see any issues? http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00798.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00802.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSC00800.jpg P.S. PLEASE RATE THIS THREAD! THANKS FOR LOOKING!!! |
looks as good as it runs"thumbsup" Just about the time I think I am catch'n up with you just gotta ramp it up. Did you get the brake lag worked out yet? |
I like this build you do some clean work keep it up."thumbsup" |
hay man what body posts u runing there?? |
Those body mounts appear to be nylon cable clamps with nylon bolts through them. |
Nice looking rig you got there really like the paint job on it not sure about the him logo. |
Nice rig! And some great, clear, close up pics. Nice work. |
were would a man get thoses champs and nuts at |
I've seen the clamps at Home Depot, the nylon nuts and bolts at Ace Hardware. Maybe ittybitty will reveal his sources when he checks back on this thread. |
thanks Gunnar...youre absolutely right...i picked all my stuff up at lowes or the local hardware store in the specialty drawers. the clamps are the only size they had that would tighten down on the chassis braces...and the bolts are 1/4" and 1" long...i used a 1/2" threaded spacer on the front one to get the hood out of the battery and servo up front...worked out really well...im liking the setup A LOT |
Great looking build!! |
I love that damn chassis!!!! very nice build |
