Unhappy New guy to crawling here

Hi all, Kinda new to the crawling scene. I'm used to going fast. I'm not to sure about electronics. I have everything from my Traxxas Stampede VXL. I bought a Axial ARTR. Is the vxl to much for the Axial. I know I don't have 30 posts yet. But if anybody can help me out. Mabye sell the Stampede and buy diffrent electronics? What should I do? I couldn't find the classifides?

Yeah I had the stampede up to 82 mph. flat ground and clocked by my police friend. very hard to control at that speed. so I take it as NOT the thing to do. ill look into the electronics you had mentioned. So.... anybody want to buy a stampede? lol. Thanks for all your help so far.

Im running a hitec 645mg servo, hpi 45 turn motor, traxxas tq3 transmitter and receiver and the [imo] pos rtr esc. the esc will be upgraded when I can afford it.
Why not keep the stampede, as much as I enjoy my crawler every now and then I just want to go wild so out comes the revo and off to the bmx track I go.

Thanks guys. I dont believe i can search that fast anyway.(typing sucks) Anyway i have the stampede up for sale on ebay. If it dosent sell i'd be willing to do some trading. I'd need a controler, reciever, esc, motor, just so i can make the axial run. I'm excited. i really didnt know there were this many peoples into this. Are lipo's the way to go? Are they expensive? thats kinda new technology for me. lol. I'm used to the old blackfoot days with the hex dog bones that stripped out. Am I dating myself? LOL. thanks again.

You aren't dating yourself. There are alot of old farts here. Heck I was running RC10's when they first came out. Remember the Optima Mid? about 84 or 85 I think. Lipo's are the way to go. Runtimes of 45 min to an hour not uncommon, better than those 4 minute heats and mains I used to run in the old on/offroad days. Use photobucket for posting pics, then everyone can see them, logged on or not.

yeah the first time i drove it i almost craped. I havent driven anything since the origional blackfoot. hit the throttle and it just stood up and left in a hurry. the tires fan out when cornering the wheel spin is so great. they look like pizza cutters. i know why they include the wheelie bar as manditory equipment. its sick. so I've heard not to good to instal in the Axial though. lol. that is unless i want parts everywhere. I might airbrush the body of the axial and put some vinyl graphics on it. I have all that stuff. Its my other hobby. I read here that brake fluid works for paint removal? any truth to that?
