hay uall what do i need to use to set the mesh on my spur and pinion

I agree but, I tend to use a piece of plastic bag it tends to be a little more forgiving when meshing together. "thumbsup"

I eyeball it. tighten the screws just enought and tap on the motor to move it ever so gently. keep checking the mesh until you like it. Just every so loose is perfect. never stripped a spur doing it this way. I hate the paper method cuz you can still over tighten it. Just take your time and work it out.

No matter what method you try, check the mesh on several spots on the spur, may look round, but not always.
