I am new to crawling and i have an AX10 .. Pretty much stock .. I ordered a dig unit for it ... I ordered the Hot Racing dig unit .. The thing is I do not know how to install it and or what servo would be best for it .. If you all have ANY information what so ever, it would be greatly appreciated .. Thanks to all whom reply .. I'm watching this thread, too. I am seriously considering ordering one of the HR units for my Scorp. From what I've read so far, it's a cinch to install and setup.

i use a hitec h645 myself for servo, it's what i had available at the time

take your transmission out of the truck, it's going to have to be put in backwards anyways due to the dig

there's a brace and spacers that come with the dig, you will need to see where it lines up with the transmission.
take the screws out of the transmission that the dig brace lines up with
take the dig apart, polish and grease it up
install it to the transmission/brace.

it's pretty straight forward installation, 3-4 screws

from here you can either finish assembly and pop it back in the truck or you can modify it while it's apart so that it engages on 1/4 turn instead of 1/2 turn using a grinder. 1/2 turn of a driveshaft is alot when you're on the edge of a cliff

if you do decide to mod the dig, take your time with that grinder, it's not a race, and you also want to make sure that the mini driveshaft sits snug in that new notch you just dug out so you don't strip anything.
